An overview to the new College uniform |

The safety and welfare of the students at Honiton Community College Academy Trust is paramount and many of these regulations are made with this in mind. Recognised religious convictions would be taken into account when implementing this policy. Parents would need to contact the relevant Head of Learning to agree implementation. What will you need? BOYS & GIRLS Compulsory Items: (•available only from specified suppliers) • Black College blazer with Honiton Community College Academy Trust logo. • College tie. • A College black ‘V’ neck jumper with College logo is optional in the colder months. (The blazer must still be worn) - Plain black full length tailored trousers which do not trail on floor (stretch, baggy, flared, or bell-bottoms - jeans, canvas, or corduroy trousers are not acceptable). If belts are worn they should be narrow and plain black with a normal buckle. Logos on belts and buckles are unacceptable. - Plain long sleeved white shirt with a collar, not fitted and must be long enough to be tucked in. (In the summer term a short sleeved shirt is acceptable). - Plain black school shoes only (no trainers). Boots (flat-soled, waterproof) are acceptable only if they are plain black and are worn inside trousers. |

Trainers, sandals, flip-flops, dolly shoes, canvas or high-heeled shoes will not be acceptable. A shoe that covers the bridge of the foot and encloses the toes is ideal. A pair of ‘leather’ shoes covering most of the foot is best as it provides protection against anything that could be dropped in Technology or Science, and will keep the feet warm and dry in poor weather. - Plain black, grey or white socks. - Large bag suitable for carrying all equipment (including A4 sized files) and books. A rucksack is advisable. |
Girls Only: - Girls may wear a black regulation skirt instead of trousers if preferred. A-line or straight styles, in one continuous material, knee length (no shorter than the top of the knee and no lower than the bottom of the knee) are expected. (No pattern or additional colours should be visible on the skirt. Ra-Ra skirts, for example are unacceptable, as are tight-fitting/ lycra skirts, no additional detailing on the skirt such as zips on pockets, patches etc). - Plain black or flesh coloured tights may be worn.
