Year 7 were delighted to meet Georgina Geikie who was part of the Olympic Team GB.

Georgina (or Gorgs as she is known) was the first Pistol Shooter from Great Britain to have ever qualified and competed at an Olympics.

Gorgs spoke to the students in assembly and showed them her many medals and her Olympic torch which she proudly carried through her home town of Okehampton last summer.

Students were invited to take part with her in a free weekend of pistol shooting and other fun events which takes place near Charmouth over 16th and 17th February.  For more information about Gorgs and the Charmouth event please visit www.gorgs4gold.com.
